Current Haircare Routine

17.11.12

I've been meaning to film this video for a while, so be prepared for a big 'ol, slightly evangelical, ramble about sulphate-free products. Hopefully if you suffer from dry scalp or hair issues you'll find this helpful, but I'd love to know if anyone else uses coconut oil on their hair...or for anything else?!

  1. New follower with very similar hair/scalp type :) I LOVE the Pureology line and find it works amazing on my hair and scalp! I do a oil scalp treatment (I make this) with a bit of tea tree oil once a week if I remember and it really helps the health of my scalp and hair :)

  2. Is it wrong that I really like the packaging of the coconut oil? Haha.

Will definitely be watching this later, I'm sure I'll find it useful because you have similar hair to me.

  17. You can use a TINY amount of coconut oil as a regular hair oil. If you keep it less than a fingernail size it's not greasy at all.

  18. I love coconut oil too! I've just started oil cleansing, and use it mixed in with some other oils as a face cleanser, and a bit by itself as moisturiser. I've been wondering about trying it in my hair too. What do you mean by 'pre-shampoo'? Do you just put it in immediately before showering? Or can you use it as a sort of leave in conditioner? :)

  19. Coconut oil works fabulously for an all-over natural body moisturizer! I have a jar from Trader Joe's (not sure if you have that in the UK) that works really well and looks pretty cute sitting on my dresser!

  20. I started using coconut oil this summer when a friend of mine recommended it to me- I had also heard it is good for your skin so I used it as a face moisturiser too. It is an amazing thing to use for your skin and hair because it is all natural and not very expensive too! xx
