I should probably annotate this as 'the beauty box edition' as that's where I discovered a lot of the products. Anyway I'm in the middle of two 4000 word essays due in on the 13th May so my usual end/start of the month posts might be a little late. While I'm busy typing away, here are some things on my (probably imaginary) shopping list.
Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir Cologne I'm currently burning a candle in this scent on my desk while I write. One of my essays is on Oscar Wilde and Orientalism so I was hoping the heady pomegranate and woody scent would inspire me a bit. No such luck, but I have taken to dipping my finger into the wax after I've blown it out and rubbing a tiny bit of the wax onto my wrists. It smells absolutely incredible but I think I need to buy the fragrance before I completely destroy the candle.
Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover These kinds of nail polish removers are nothing new, although I still find the sticking-your-finger-in bit a little weird. However I've heard lots of good things about this offering from Bourjois. It's acetone free and contains sweet almond oil, which sounds ideal for my dry nails.
Bobbi Brown Corrector I've just finished up my usual under-eye concealer and this corrector might be just the thing to replace it and tackle my hideous dark circles.
Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum A sample of this new Caudalie serum was included in this month's Glossybox. My skin loved it and it feels very hydrating whilst still being super light on the skin.
KMS Free Shape Hot Flex Spray Another beauty box sample, this time from Joliebox. I'm really picky about hair products but this is really light and holds the style of your hair without making it feel crispy or weighed down with product.
balance Me. Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm Again a product discovered via Joliebox - I think this will be my next cleanser when I've finished the last of my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish. It smells amazing and is very gentle but still makes short work of eye makeup.
Have you got your eye on anything?

I am in the middle of my post grad application forms and essays and my wishlist / shopping list is getting longer every minute. Looking at this post really isn't helping!. Hahaha!

You should get the Bobbi Brown corrector, it really is brilliant! And the Bourjois nail polish remover is next on my list! Good luck with your essays! I'm just coming up to my second year exams, so it's all a bit hectic at the moment! Try not to work too hard!! Xx
ReplyDeleteI have the pomegranate noir fragrance and it is incredible. well worth the money i think!

I have my eye on the Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover as well. But I've seen a similar one in Sephora and I'm quite confused on which to get.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your essay Meg :)
speaking as girl with hideous under eye circles, I can tell you that the bb corrector is AH-mazing. really good color range and it doesn't crease badly on me (and most everything does)
ReplyDeletegood luck with your papers!

I love the Bobbi Brown Corrector. I find it amazing and that's saying something as I get terrible dark circles under my eyes. I really want to purchase something from Jo Malone soon, I'm thinking a candle. I adore the Nectarine Blossom and Honey scent. I hope all goes well with the essays!:D xxx
ReplyDeleteOooh I'm liking the idea of the bourjous nail polish remover! I'm wanting 'nylon' and 'naked lunch' MAC eyeshadows after watching Tanya Burr's tutorial on Ingrid in her video, haha :P
ReplyDeleteI also fancy trying a Bobbi Brown correcter/concealer.
Also just ordered 'impassioned' lipstick by MAC and Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream protectant... oopppsies. xx
I've got my eye on so many things, I also want the Bourjois nail polish remover and the Bobbi Brown corrector! xx

I put in a sneaky order for lots of mac goodies the other day, but I completely forgot to order the Soft and Gentle mineralize skinfinish that everyone has been talking about, so that is definitely on my shopping list for this month. I also wanted to try the NARS Sheer Glow foundation or something lighter than my usual Estee Lauder Double Wear for the summer.
ReplyDeleteI want to try the Bobbi Brown corrector as well. I recently bought their creamy concealer and I'm so impressed it has gotten me wanting to try some more of their products. xx

I absolutely love the Bobbi Brown corrector, it's definitely one of my favourite staples. It does wonders in concealing yet brightening the buggers! :-)
ReplyDeleteI heard a few good things about Jo Malone's pillow sprays. Trying to get my hands on these :)
ReplyDeleteReally recommend the balance me balm cleanser! Even though I have acne prone skin it has soothed my face and hasn't broken me out :) x
ReplyDeleteI have the Bobbi Brown corrector and I am not a huge fan. I find it to be a bit too thick and creamy for the under eye especially if you have any lines.
ReplyDeleteThe polish remover is fab, people seem to be sick of hearing about but I've heard barely anyone raving :P Other than me :P
